Adding Essential Workers to Those Offered COVID-19 Vaccine

Starting March 10th, 2021 the state of Minnesota is expanding the eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine to additional groups. These groups include individuals with certain underlying medical conditions, people age 50 and older that live in multi-generational housing, and essential frontline workers.

Beltrami County Public Health will be focusing our efforts on essential workers in the following occupations: agricultural, airport staff, additional child care workers not previously eligible, correctional settings, first responders, food production, food retail, food service, judicial system workers, manufacturing, public health workers, public transit, and U.S. Postal Service workers.

Details on the definition of these occupations is available at:

We are working with employers to identify people in these groups who are interested in receiving the vaccine. If you are in one of these groups and have not yet been notified that your employer is working with Public Health, our Family Health Clinic will be scheduling clinics as we receive vaccine. Please call our office at 218-333-8140 and we will either schedule you for existing appointments or place you on an eligibility list for a future vaccination clinic.
