Red Lake's JV outlast Mustang's JV 67-64 in game that went right down to the wire - P6

Warriors snap 3-game losing streak to beat Kelliher-Northome 111-71

RED LAKE, MN - The Red Lake Warriors basketball team ended their 3-game losing streak with a sound win over the Kelliher-Northome Mustangs on Monday, March 1, 2021.

The Warriors outscored the Mustangs 63-39 in the first half and 48-32 in the second to seal the deal and put their record at 8-5 on the season. Kelliher-Northome dropped to 5-9.

D. J. Holthusen led all scorers with 37 points, 27 in the first half, Gerald Kingbird Jr. added 18, Trent Holthusen hit four 3-pointers for 12 points, Riley Chaboyea added 11 and Aaron Chaboyea hit for 10.

Ben Reiger led te Mustangs with 27 points in the losing effort, Jack Gilbert added 15 and Wyatt Plackner added 10.

Red Lake is on the road to Win-E-Mac on March 4th, travels to Kelliher-Northome on March 8th and travels to Cass Lake on March 11 before finishing at home on March 13th with WHA.

In the earlier game, Red Lake's JV won a tight one right from the start, 67-64.
