Brian Gordon Graves, age 43, of Red Lake, MN began his journey to the spirit world on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Brian was born on January 5, 1978 to Susan Graves and Ronald Fairbanks, Sr. in Red Lake, MN

Brian grew up and went to school in Red Lake where he graduated from Red Lake High School in 1997. He attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls and Red Lake Nation College. He worked various jobs in Red Lake and was currently a stay-at-home dad with his 8-year old daughter, Lillian. He liked watching and playing sports, video games and posting on Facebook.

Family welcoming Brian to the spirit world are his father; Ronald Fairbanks, Sr., step-father; Herman "Ludie" English; brother; Joel Graves; Uncle; Harold "Zob" Graves, maternal grandparents; Clyde and Irene Graves; paternal grandparents; Harry and Viola Fairbanks, nephew; Avery Graves-Cook and Cousins; Sheila Kingbird and Duane Johnson.

He leaves behind his mother; Susan Graves, Significant other; Alyssa Bedeau, daughters; Lillian, Teneasha and Whitney, brother; Ronald Fairbanks, Jr., sisters; Kari, Holly and Dawn Graves, Kayla Kingbird and Kelly Fairbanks, nieces and nephews; Marissa, Brion, Xavier, Ashantae, Terrell, JaeLee, Brayden, Avery, Symiah, Curtis, Glenn and other relatives and friends.

A wake for Brian will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the service on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be: Jordan May, Gerald Kingbird, Sr., Andy Kingbird, Sr., Jason Graves, Harold K. Graves, Sr., Kyle Stillday, Robin Chosa and Kelly Kingbird. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tracey Kingbird, George White, Jared Schoenborn, Dave Dudley, Sr., Mick May, Ian Lussier, Darren King, Anthony Morrison, Brion Sayers and Justin Smith. Burial will be at the Graves Family Burial Grounds, Heart Lake, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, Walker, MN.
