RED LAKE NATION SEEKING TRAINERS + CIVIC DESIGN MEMBERS FOR PARENT LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

PHASE I:

» Recruitment of persons interested in becoming trainers for a Parent Leadership Training Cohort;

» Recruitment of individuals interested in guiding the Parent Leadership Project through membership in a Civic Design Team;

» Compensation for trainers and CDT will be provided.

PHASE II:

» A FREE 20-week parent training program that combines advocacy, leadership, child development and citizenship skill building that is embedded with a strong Ojibwe cultural foundation (designed by community elders and Dr. Anton Treuer);

» More information on Phase II will be provided in the near future.

TIMELINE:

» Our goal is to have Trainers and Civic Design Team Members selected and confirmed by March 31, 2021. If you are interested in applying as a Trainer or a Civic Design Team Member, please go to www. indigenousvisioning.com to complete an application by March 15, 2021.

The National Parent Leadership Institute and Indigenous Visioning, with support from the Red Lake RBC, Dr. Anton Treuer and funding from the State of MN's Community Solutions grant, have collaborated to bring the RLR citizens an Indigenized Parent Leadership opportunity.
