Position Summary: The Red lake Nation and Red Lake Incorporated are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to oversee all aspects of operation within Red Lake Incorporated. This is a full time position with excellent benefit package.

Essential Function: Plans, manages and directs all aspects of the company's policies, objectives, goals, initiatives, and overall responsibility for the performance of the corporation and its affiliates, establishes current and long range objectives. Leads, directs and manages Ogaakaaning Enterprises and Entities toward its primary objective to generate wealth through diversification of the tribal economy, by performing duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Leader:

• Leads and collaborates with Board of Directors and managers to develop short and long range objectives, plan and strategies for successful business operations for several companies.

• Supports motivation of employees in organization products/programs and operations.

• Overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.

• Dispenses advice, guidance, direction and authorization to carry out major objectives, consistent with established policies via the Board of Directors approval.

• Supports the development of planning and control systems and other management systems to ensure effective control of the companies

Strategy & Planning Management:

• Makes responsibilities strategic investments, acquisitions, asset management, and business development decisions.

• Provides leadership and vision to strengthen Ogaakaaning Enterprises and subsequent entities.

• Has the ability to analyze and interpret market information in order to develop effective marketing and sales responses to increase market share and improve profitability.

• Plans and directs all investigations and negotiations pertaining to the acquisition of business and allocation of capital and resources with the approval of the Board of Directors. Directs communications to staff to develop effective communications and response strategies.

• Implements human resources of organizations.

Finances & Resources:

• Oversees the allocation of capital and resources to ensure the adequacy and soundness of financial structures.

• Allocates capital and resources responsibly for the controlled development of employees, products, services technology and financial resources to secure the position of the companies and promote growth.

• Approves overall operating budgets and capital expenditures in an effective manner to stay competitive in the market.

• Approves revenue and profit goals for each planning period.

• Ensures the accurate and timely preparation of a full financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors.

• Reviews budgets with the CFO, providing input and guidance on areas for improvement.

• Reviews subsidiary performance reports provided by the CFO, compares the performance to the profit-plan goals, and assists the CFO in the development of corrective actions for underachievement.

• Oversees the preparation of grant and funding applications for implementations of economic development projects, coordinating with the CFO and other key staff to indemnify sources for funding new business opportunities including state and federal programs.

• Oversees to ensure continuous improvement in the area of Revenue Earning initiatives, EBITDA profit margins, operating expenses, cash flow, on-time delivery, lead times, quality and inventory.

• Attends the monthly Board of Directors meetings, reviews the monthly financial statements and approves variances and results.

• Manages financial and physical resources.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree is required with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior management position.

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, and Business Management preferred.

• Proven experience as CEO or in other managerial position. Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.

• In depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices. Strong understanding of corporate finance performance management principles. Analytical abilities and problem solving skills. Demonstrate critical competencies in four broad categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change and motivating.
