Rose Marie (Jourdain) Hinden, age 80, of Red Lake, MN was born on October 8th, 1940 to William and Elsie (Defoe) Jourdain in Red Lake, MN and began her spiritual journey on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 from Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

Rose graduated High School in Red Lake in 1959. She earned a Chef's Training Certificate from the Red Lake Vocational College in 1993. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially loved time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the casinos, pow-wows, and playing her handheld games. She was an avid crossword puzzle book enthusiast and could tell you if she had already completed that book. Rose loved sharing stories of her childhood and the life she shared with her husband, Harold with her grandchildren. Rose loved her cat, Bella.

Family that welcomes Rose to the spirit word are her parents, William and Elsie Jourdain; husband, Harold Hinden; sister, Karen Payer; brother, William "Butch" Jourdain, Jr .; and children Vincent Jourdain, Laurie Warmington, Jodi Hinden, Scott Hinden, and Jeff Hinden.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Rose are her daughter, Kristi Hinden of Bemidji; son, Kevin Jourdain of Red Lake; brothers, Arlan Jourdain, Ron (Diane) Jourdain, Gary (Wendy) Jourdain, Elwyn (Lenetta) Jourdain, Greg Jourdain, and Gerald (Angel) Jourdain, all are from Red Lake; sisters, Darlene (John) Jourdain, Pam Maxwell, and Linda (Allan) Brown all are from Red Lake; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

An overnight wake for Rose will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26th and continue until her 11:00 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, February 27th all to be held at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Father George Ross will officiate. Urn bearer will be grandson, Randolph Headbird III. Honorary urn bearers will include all her family. Inurnment of Rose's cremains will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN in the spring.
