Michael Johnathon Johnson, 37, of Cass Lake, MN died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Villa at Bryn Mawr Care Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Traditional Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, February 18 2021 at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. A wake will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at the Veteran's Memorial Building and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the Northern Gospel Mission Cemetery in Oak Point, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
He was born November 3, 1983, in Bemidji, MN the son of George Wind and Rosetta (Johnson) Martin. He was a grandson to Wanda Johnson, George and Rose Wind. He was raised by his Maternal Gramma Wanda Johnson. He grew up with his brothers Darryl, Darren, and Jeffrey, in the Cass Lake area. He met Laurie TeJohn and they had 6 children together. He was a great father, loved each of his kids, and did his best to look out for them. Michael has many family and friends, all of whom he loves and respects. He respected and was inspired by the words of Tupac Shakur; that no matter our beginning, no matter how hard they may seem, we have to believe in a greater good, and aspire to be the best we can for ourselves, and our loved ones. This is what Michael dreamt.
