Jared Michael Johnson, age 39, “Mazinaanakwad (Fancy Cloud) of Redby, Minnesota was born on August 29th, 1981 to Darrell and Roxanne (Auginash) Johnson in Red Lake, MN and began his spiritual journey on January 30th, 2021 from the Red Lake Hospital in Red Lake, MN.

Jared attended Red Lake High School and graduated in 2001. He completed two years with the Ameri Corp and later worked at the 7 Clans Water Park. Jared enjoyed spending time with his family, going to casinos, doing scratch offs, cooking out, and cruising with his friends. He always looked forward to the annual family trips to the Minnesota State Fair and going to classic cars shows. Jared was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, taking walks in the woods and was a bit of a fire bug. He was a compassionate and caring person who was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Jared was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by them and all who loved him.

Family that welcomes Jared to the spirit world are his paternal grandfather, Harry Johnson; maternal grandfather, Clarence Stately; maternal grandmother, Marcella Auginash; step grandfather, McKinley Auginash, Sr. and many more family members.

He leaves behind his parents, Darrell and Roxanne Johnson; sister, Darilyn Johnson; special sister, Jessica (Leo) Cook; paternal grandmother, Susan D. Johnson; nephew, Daniel Sayers; nieces, Madison and Miley Sayers; great nephews, Riley, Anthony and Junior; great niece, Karley and numerous other relatives and friends.

An overnight wake for Jared will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 6th all to be held at the Redby Community Center in Redby, MN. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers for Jared will be George White, Jr., Daniel Sayers, Harrison Juarez, Robin Auginash, Tom Charnoski, Jr. and Chad Auginash. Alternate pallbearers are Ryan Auginash and Ian Auginash. His honorary pallbearers are Vincent White, Sr., Leo Cook, Bill Stately, Mitchell Johnson, Gordon Johnson, Fred Auginash, Rick Auginash, Andrew Auginash, Madison Sayers, Miley Sayers, Kim Cloud, Charise Schoenborn, Codi Packineau, Karen White, Kayla Cook, April Graves, Carol Graves, Sara Rojas, Candy Beaulieu, Tammy Charnoski and December Charnoski. Inurnment of Jared’s cremains will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN in the spring.
