COVID TESTING:

The Red Lake Hospital continues to perform regular COVID testing at the remote station outside the hospital with a doctor's order. If you have questions about how to get tested for COVID-19, call the hospital at 218-679-3912 and press 1.

If you feel ill, please stay home if you can to avoid getting others sick. If you have tested positive for COVID or been in contact with a person who is positive, please follow the quarantine and isolation directions from the Contact Tracing Team. This will help control the spread of the virus.

COVID VACCINES:

The Red Lake Hospital is working through the plan of distribution for the COVID vaccines as they are being shipped to us. Please be patient as the hospital works through the tiers of the plan. They will send you a letter as you become eligible. They will also use social media and phone calls to get the word out. If you have questions regarding the vaccine, please ask your provider. They will help you make an informed decision. And remember that the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory for anyone. It's up to each person if they choose to receive the vaccine when it's available.

The best protection from COVID is to take all the safety precautions to protect yourself including wearing a face mask, social distancing and hand washing. Let's work together to keep our numbers down.

Due to the increase of overdoses in our communities, the Red Lake Hospital would like to put a reminder out there that they have Naloxone (Narcan) available at the pharmacy by calling 679-2825.
