Connie grew up in Naytahwaush on the White Earth Reservation and moved to Minneapolis with her parents and younger brothers and sisters when she was 9 years old. She married Ron Head in 1976. Connie worked at North Memorial Hospital in the kitchen for 5 years and then went to work at Alpha Chi Omega sorority house as their cook for 35 years before she retired in 2014. Not only was Connie an excellent cook she was a better bowler who enjoyed bowling with her husband Ron and her daughters Diana, Tracy and Christine. Connie participated in 23 national women's tournaments and competed in local and state tournaments as well. She was a force to be reckoned with on and off the lanes. Connie's pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved playing with them, holding them and loving them. In retirement not only did she bowl more, she liked feeding the birds outside and complaining about the squirrels eating the seeds (little bastards she called them). She played games on her tablet and kept her mind sharp doing Sudoku.

Connie started her spiritual journey on January 18, 2021. She is survived by daughters; Diana Cacas (Gary Dorumsgaard), Tracy Wilson (Michael Suedel) and Christine Felten (Joel). Grandchildren; Rebecca, Amber, Ryan, Elora, Chelsea, Charles and Raymond. Great grandchildren; Alysa, Makenzie, Chevei, Skyler, Maggie, Avery, Vanessa, Delilah, Raegan and Milo. Brothers Eugene Deegan and David Deegan, numerous nieces, nephews and others that called her "Mom" and "Gram". Connie is preceded in death by husband Ron Head, daughter Cynthia Cacas, parents Charles Sr. and Ellen Deegan, six brothers and six sisters.
