Charlene Renee Brown, age 65, of Redby, Minnesota, left this earth on January 14, 2021. She was born in Red Lake, Minnesota, on August 6, 1955, to Hazel Brown and Burdell LaRoque.

Charlene loved to be around her family. She had a beautiful and loving heart, and she opened her heart and home to those in need. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved visiting friends and made talking easy. Charlene had a heart that was more precious than gold and always had an ear to confide in. She was the go-to person for her family and friends. She loved reading books, being on her phone, going to the casino. She also loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports.

Charlene attended Red Lake High School, Forestry School and Nursing School. She worked numerous jobs before starting work for the Red Lake High School as a paraprofessional, where she stayed for many years before retiring due to health problems.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Burdell LaRoque and Hazel Brown; uncles Edward "Pat" Brown and Clarence "Bunny" Brown; Auntie Winifred Juarez; brothers David Paul LaRoque and Richard Leland Brown; and her daughter whom she missed dearly: Alana Lee Brown.

Charlene will be greatly missed by the love of her life Delwyn "Dosh" Spears; eight children Adrian (Karen) Brown, Desmond Brown, Dustin Brown, Ashley (Andrew Sr.) Brown, Tasha (Shane) Brown, Evon "Chicki" (Joseph Sr.) Brown, Delwyn Brown, and Kelsi Brown; nine brothers and sisters: Sandra Brown, Allen Brown, Annette Brown, LeeAnn (Michael) Cobenais, William (Angela) LaRoque, Michael (Jean) LaRoque, Ronald "George" LaRoque, Lori (Pete) Drift and Florene LaRoque; granddaughter Chelise Desiree Brown, whom she helped raise; and 43 grandchildren.

A wake for Charlene will begin Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 5:00pm at the Redby Center, Redby, MN, and will continue until the service on Saturday, January 23, at 11:00am. Pastors George Ross and Tim Brown will lead her celebration of life. Pallbearers will be Brian Brown, Vincent Brown, Virgil Brown, Adrian Brown, Delwyn Brown, Dustin Brown, Daniel Barrett, and Tyrell Brown. Alternates: Tyler Brown, Andrew Kingbird, and Perry Drift. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of her brothers and sisters and grandchildren; Jan Roberts, Rose Cournoyer, RuthAnn Donnell, Bev Libby, Jean LaRoque, Jean Donnell, Mary "Mully" Brown, Crystal Schoenborn-Cobenais, Emily Cloud, Ruth Whitefeather, Margo Loud, Tanya Brown, Karen Anderson, Harlene "Rae Rae" Spears, Phyllis, Dacia, Stephanie and Theresa Juarez, Donna Yellowbird, Delwyn Schoenborn, David Dudley Sr., Tyrone Beaulieu, Duane "Ole" Spears, Devin Anderson, Shane Garrigan, Mike Cobenais, and Al Pemberton. Burial will be at the Redby Episcopal Cemetery in Redby.
