Aaron Jeffery Wind, 42, from Bena, Minnesota started his journey to the spirit world from Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota on Sunday, January 10th, 2021. Aaron was born in Bemidji, MN on October 13th, 1978 to Deanna Wind and Wayne Wintermeyer.

Aaron grew up in the Mission area and enjoyed playing basketball for the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School. Anyone who knew Aaron, knew that he always put his family first. There was not anything he would not do for his children. A day never went by without a conversation with his special sister Kristi. He was always smiling and joking, having fun with his family. He loved playing pool and throwing darts on his league teams, going to casinos, staying home with his family, having movie nights with his wife and children. He was an excellent blackjack player, so good that one night he was accused of counting cards and thrown out of the casino.

Those that welcome Aaron to the spirit world is his father, Wayne Wintermeyer; sister, Thelma Adams; grandmother, Roberta Wind; grandfather, Dean Wind; aunties, Cecelia Drouillard and Terri Staples; and uncle, Dan Kingbird, Jr.

Those Aaron leave behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over fifteen years, Amanda Littlewolf; sons, Aaron Wind, Jr., Allen Wind, Ronin Cloud and Jason "Shoonie" Littlewolf, Jr .; daughters, Aaliyah Wind, Anna Wind, Makenna Wind, Adina Headbird, Trina Headbird, Carlina Headbird, Larenz Cloud and Anavey Littlewolf; mother, Deanna Wind; brothers, Darryl Adams and Ron (Corrina) Hulett, Sr .; sisters, Kristi (David) Wind, Karla Wind and Kelly Wind; uncles, Joe (Shelly) Wind and Donald (Karyn) Wind.

A two-day wake will begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14th and continue until his 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, January 16th all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Cass Lake, MN. Father Matthew Cobb will officiate. Pallbearers will be Aaron Wind, Jr., Allen Wind, Clarence Day, Jr., Ron Hulett, Sr., Doug Staples, Samuel "Munch" Staples III, alternates Rodney Headbird and Darryl "Duck" Drouillard. His honorary pallbearers are his wife, Amanda, sisters, Kristi, Karla and Kelly, mother, Deanna, Bobbi Norby and all his family and friends. Interment will be in Mission Cemetery at Mission/Cass Lake, MN immediately following his Saturday service.
