Andreas Marcel "Smiles" Poler, five and a half months old, of Mahnomen, Minnesota journeyed to the sprit world on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021 from his home.

Andreas was born July 14th, 2020 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota the son of Andrew Sargent, Sr. and Iona Poler. Baby Andreas always had a smile for everyone. He was such a good baby who loved to kick and play. He was loved by many, and all who got to know him. He touched so many lives in his short time here.

Andreas is welcomed to the spirit world by his great aunt, Sylvia Ortley; great grandmother, Louise Westbrook; honorary great grandmother, Beverly McAllister; great grandfather, James Poler;, great grandparents, Harry and Waurine Dooley.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memories are his mother, Iona of Minneapolis, MN; father, Andrew of Mahnomen; brothers, Andrew Sargent, Jr. and Daniel McKenzie III of Mahnomen; paternal grandparents, Linda Dooley of Mahnomen and James "Jim" (Mallory) Sargent of Mahnomen; maternal grandparents, Gary Poler of Red Lake, MN and Melody Ortley of Mahnomen; great grandparents, Douglas and Deborah Sargent of Mahnomen; auntie, Cassidy Sargent; uncles, Jamison Sargent, Brandon Sargent and Tyseon Humphrey; special cousins, Dustin Rock and Jason Rock; and many other family members.

An overnight wake for Andreas will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Friday, January 8th all to be held at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN. Michael Dahl will be his Spiritual Advisor. Pallbearers for Andreas are Travis Thompson, James "Jim" Sargent, Brandon Sargent, Tyler Tibbets and alternate Scott Yost. His honorary pallbearers are Mindy Dooley and Mallory Oien. Interment will be in the White Earth Traditional Cemetery at White Earth, MN immediately following his Friday service.
