White Earth extends deadline for COVID-19 Relief Program assistance

On July 23, 2020, through Resolution No. 001-20-060, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee (RBC) authorized and established the COVID-19 Relief Program to provide emergency financial assistance to White Earth members who have suffered

financial loss due to the pandemic. Through the CARES Act, the RBC is able to continue offering this assistance to White Earth enrolled members. In a special meeting today (Tuesday, Jan. 5), the RBC's decision to extend the application deadline until January 31, 2021 (postmark date) to receive assistance was approved.

In May 2020, the White Earth Reservation was awarded more than $29 million to in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to assist with White Earth's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
