Indian Health Service Director promotes COVID-19 vaccinationsat White Earth Health Center

WHITE EARTH, Minn.–Rear Admiral Michael Weahkee, Indian Health Service (IHS) Director,will visit the White Earth Health Center on Tuesday, Dec. 15at 1 p.m. to promote COVID-19 vaccinations. The White Earth Service Unit will be one of the first in IHS to vaccinate. There will be approximately 10 shots given at this timeto Health Care Personnel (HCP) and possibly a couple patients that are 65 and older with moderate to sever chronic lung disease. White Earth received 120 doses during this first round. More details on who and when individuals will get vaccinated are still being discussed.
