Five Red Lake Tribal Council members volunteered to be first to receive COVID-19 vaccine

Chairman Darrell Seki, Sr., Secretary Sam Strong, Treasurer Annette Johnson, and District Representatives Allen Pemberton and Glenda Martin as they receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, Red Lake IHS began administering the first COVID-19 vaccines. Five of the Red Lake Tribal Council Members volunteered to be the first to receive the vaccine.
The Red Lake Hospital health care workers will also begin to receive their vaccines along with the frontline staff.
The Red Lake Tribal Council and the Red Lake Hospital will continue to work on a plan to administer vaccines to the membership as more shipments come in.
