Edna McKinley, 81, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Sanford Medical Center in Bagley, Minnesota.

No services will be held at this time. Interment will be held at the Bagley City Cemetery. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

She was born on August 20, 1939 in White Earth, Minnesota the daughter of Francis and Harriet (Vraa) LaRoque. Edna grew up in Bagley, MN and graduated from Bagley High School in 1957. She went on to pursue her degree in Education from the University of Minnesota for 2 years, followed by another 2 years at Bemidji State University. Edna married William (Bill) McKinley on July 29, 1961. Edna substitute taught for Graceville, MN, Cass Lake, MN, and Great Falls, MT before moving back to Bagley, MN in 1992.

Edna was a Director of the YWCA, a member of the League of Women Voters, and the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN.

She is survived by her daughter Anne-Lisa Preston of Bremerton, WA

Sister-Charlotte Stavig of Bagley, MN

Brother- Dale LaRoque of Grand Rapids, MN

Sister-in-law-Millie Dickinson of Bemidji, MN

Brother-in-law-Jim McKinley of Virginia, MN

3-grandaughters-Aphten, Mary, and Rachel;

1-grandson-William

Numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband William, just 10 days prior on November 19, 2020; her parents; and 1 brother- Francis LaRoque
