1953 ~ 2020 (age 67)

Della Renee Prentice, age 67, "Minwewewijiwanookwe" which means "Pleasant Sound of Water Flowing Woman" of the Turtle Clan from Redby, MN began her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 from the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN. She was born in Red Lake, MN on January 23rd, 1953, the daughter of Marian (Needham) and Paul Prentice, Jr.

Della's pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved making pow-wow regalia for them. Her oldest grandson, Terrell and youngest grandson Rylee lived with her and she always felt safe. Della liked to go rummaging and collecting any and everything. If you needed something, she probably had it. She loved having "family time", playing Keno, watching series' on Netflix and Hulu, but her all time favorite thing to do was watch Grace play basketball. Della had a great personality, was quick witted and she loved to laugh and joke!

Family welcoming Della to the spirit world are her parents, Marian and Paul Prentice; sisters, Patricia Prentice and Barbara Westbrook; brother, Charles Prentice, Sr .; grandson, Aaron White; sister in law, Donna Prentice and good friend, Carla Brun.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Roger (Jamie) White, Renae White, Robert (Cathy) White and Misty Charnoski; adopted son, Charles (Annie) Grolla; adopted daughter, Billie Jean (James) King; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, adopted grandson Cyras Whitefeather and several nieces and nephews.

An overnight wake for Della will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 8th and continue until her 10:00 a.m. traditional service all being held at the Redby Community Center in Redby MN. Charles Grolla will be her Spiritual Advisor. Della's honorary pallbearers are Nellie Charnoski, Ange Charnoski, Amanda Charnoski, Ashlyn Charnoski, Charlie Charnoski, Jr., Ray Charnoski, Jean and Herman Donnell, Peggy Young, Chad Prentice, Judy Roy, Jan Roberts, Mary Ellen Cook and Lindsey Westbrook. Inurnment of Della's cremains will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake, MN at a later date.
