Darrell (Dags, The Kid, Weedhopper, Migizi) Dennis Gale passed into the spirit world on November 11, 2020. Darrell was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota to Lillian (Johnson) Gale and Bert Gale, Sr. He graduated from Remer Northland High School and attended Minnesota University Crookston, majoring in Agriculture/Natural Resources. Upon completing his internship with the BIA Forestry Program, he worked for the US Forest Service/Chippewa National Forest. After retiring from the Forestry service, Darrell kept the doors of the Countryside Inn open for the next 29 years.

Darrell loved the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher naming all types that would visit him. He loved visiting and sharing his many stories with both family and friends. He had a knack of leaving a "mark" on everyone he met. Darrell had high hopes of the Vikings one day winning the Super Bowl. One great highlight in his life was dancing his first Pow Wow at Battle Point Grounds in September 2019. Darrell was very proud of his heritage and passed traditions on to his children and grandchildren.

Darrell was preceded in death by his Soul Mate Sandy Klaers, his parents and an infant daughter Michelle. Along with brothers: Alvin Gale, Bert Gale, Jr., Ronald Gale, Vernon Gale and Kenneth Gale. Sisters: Dollian (Kirk) Kottmeyer and Betty Lou Mettler.

He is survived by daughters Krisa (Antoine) Fairbanks, Katie Guthrie, Rachel (Ron) Klaers-Martin; son, Kerry (Kathy) Klaers and grandchildren Aiyana, Braziel, Roman, Ryan, Makayla, Dakota and Memphis, many nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of friends.
