Norman Dean Kingbird, age 57, of Ponemah, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Norman was born on April 4, 1963, in Red Lake, Minnesota, to Wallace and Ella (Cloud) Kingbird, Sr. He grew up in Ponemah and attended school in Red Lake. He worked as a logger and fisherman. Norman spent much of his life in the woods hunting and on the lake fishing. He was a quiet man who greatly loved his family of brothers and sister and their children.

Norman will be greatly missed by his brother Merlin (Shannon) Kingbird; niece Jaclyn Nevitt; nieces Crystal Kingbird and Lana Whitefeather; and nephews Wallace Kingbird III, Christopher Kingbird, Darren French Jr., Kyle French, and Loren Kingbird Jr. Family members gone on before are his parents; brothers Wallace Kingbird Jr., Gary Kingbird, and Loren Kingbird Sr.; and sister Lisa French.

A wake for Norman will begin on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 12:00 Noon at the Ponemah Community Center and will continue until the service on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10:00 am. Zac Earley will serve as spiritual leader. Pallbearers will be Darren French, Roger Kingbird, Kyle French, Loren Kingbird Jr., and Marty Raincloud. Alternate pallbearers will be Garrett Nelson, Cheyenne Kingbird, and Andrew French. Burial will follow in the Kingbird Family Burial Grounds.
