The Red Lake Hospital continues to perform regular COVID testing at the remote station outside the hospital, with a doctor's order. The Red Lake Hospital is averaging about 100 tests locally a day with an ample supply of test kits on hand going forward. The Red Lake Contact Tracing Team will call you if you have been identified as a close contact of a positive person. It is very important to comply with quarantine and isolation requirements for the full timeline in order to keep others safe and to help slow the spread of this virus. If you are concerned that you were in close contact with a positive person, you may self-quarantine while waiting to be contacted and possibly tested. If you have any questions about how to get tested for COVID or to receive your flu vaccine, please call the hospital at 218-679-3912 and press 1.

We have the free Community testing events coming up as follows:

• Thursday, November 19th at the Ponemah Fire Department;

• Tuesday, November 24th at Oshkiimaajitahdah.

Both events will be from 10am to 3pm with the option of throat swabs or nasal swabs. Flu shots will be available for adults only. Registration will be provided onsite.

Please take all the safety precautions to protect yourself from COVID-19 including wearing a face mask, social distancing and hand washing. Let's please work together to slow down this virus. We need to help keep each other safe.
