After school, Frank enlisted in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge when he completed his service. Frank worked many different jobs before being hired as a nursing home aide at the Red Lake Nursing Home. He loved his job and the people he helped. Frank loved trips to the powwows and the casino. He loved joking with people just to see them smile. Frank also enjoyed cleaning and playing bingo, but his children and grandchildren were his everything. He was very proud of every one of his family members. Frank suffered from stroke that caused him to need 24-hour care. He was the youngest person to enter the Jourdain-Perpich Nursing Home. Frank loved the staff and the many friendships he made with the other residents in the nursing home. His hospice care was provided by the staff at the nursing home and last rites were performed by Father Jerry.

The hands that helped Frank on his last journey were his mother and father, his brothers, a sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Frank leaves behind his children, Tanya and Yvonne Castellano both of Mille Lacs and Brandon Castellano of Cloquet; 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters, Geneva Beaulieu of Brainerd and Joyce Fowler of Redby.
