In a letter released on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 by Jourdain Perpich Extended Care Center (JPECC) Administrator Nick Berg, directed to their residents, family members and community, he stated they have received confirmation that several resieents and 1 employee have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
According to the statement, they have tested all residents and staff and will continue testing several times per week.
Indoor visitation was suspended on October 26, 2020 and would not resume any time soon.
Further, the letter stated "We understand that you are concerned about your loved one, but it is crucial that we restrict visitation to reduce the spread of the virus. We also understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important to our residents. We encourage you to connect with your loved ones through video chat, calling, texting, letters or other social media formats."
JPECC stated they will continue to provide updates and will contact family if a loved one is suspected or diagnosed with the virus.
