FACILITY MANAGER – METROPOLITAN LOCATION-MPLS
RED LAKE BAND OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To accomplish the maintenance and general regular work on all buildings, utilities, structures, grounds and other related functions; reports to Executive Administrator, full-time position with benefits, salary; DOQ.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs mixed duties of a general nature necessary for the proper operating maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities, includes carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, water and sewer plant operations and other trades.
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facility management.
• Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
• Cleans and shovels snow and debris from sidewalk and maintains building grounds.
• Maintains power-driven pumps, cleans, greases or oils, adjusts and makes necessary repairs as repacking pumps, renewing gaskets, etc. Connects pipe lines, operates and maintains pumps supplying water to lateral distribution system.
• Maintains building by performing minor and routine repairs when necessary for the proper operation, maintenance and repair including painting, plumbing, electrical and other related maintenance activities.
• Performs preventative maintenance duties for proper maintenance of building
• Oversees security of building and grounds
• Manages and reviews service contracts
• Checks completed work by vendors and contractors
• Maintains stock levels and parts within budget
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lightening, heating and ventilation equipment.
• Oversees the building for health and safety conditions and ensures that they are maintained in clean and sanitary condition.
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Vo Tech Certification highly desired (HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing)
• Knowledge of hand tools and power equipment that is characteristic of the trade
• Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) self-starter
• Must possess the ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must possess the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to maintain proper supplies on hand and have the ability to order material and/or supplies
• Must possess a valid Minnesota State Driver's License without restrictions
• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check.
