2 adults stabbed, adult suspect in custody

NORTHERN TOWNSHIP, BEMIDJI, MN: On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at approximately 12:30 PM, Beltrami County 911 dispatch center received a report of a domestic violence incident that resulted in two adults, one male, and one female, being stabbed at a residence in the 2000 block of Whiting Road NW, located in Northern Township. The caller, the male victim of the stabbing, reported that an ex-girlfriend had forcibly entered the home and stabbed him and a female resident of the home and fled the residence in a vehicle.

The caller was able to provide the vehicle description and suspect vehicle was located a short distance from the residence and the lone female occupant was identified as the suspect and was arrested without incident by a Beltrami County Deputy.

Deputies, assisted by Bemidji Police Department, responded to the scene and upon arrival rendered aid to the victims. Bemidji Ambulance transported the two victims to the Sanford-Bemidji Emergency Department for care. No further information is available to the medical status of the victims.

Beltrami County Deputies arrested Kathleen M. Martin, age 34, of Ponemah, MN. Martin was arrested for 1st Degree Burglary and 2nd Degree Assault and is currently being held in the Beltrami County Jail pending arraignment in Beltrami County District Court.
