Recruiting Members for the Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention Advisory Group

The Department of Human Services is recruiting news members for the Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral (EIDBI) Advisory Group, to advise on a health benefit for people under age 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related conditions. Related conditions include, but are not limited to, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and Rett Syndrome. Visit the website for more information on the EIDBI benefit or the EIDBI Advisory Group.

The term of office is two years, and the new term begins in January 2021. Meetings are held quarterly; currently meetings are being held online.

There are openings for members in the following categories:

•Adult with ASD or a related condition

•Parent or unpaid caregiver of a child under age 21 with ASD or a related condition. (Multiple positions)

•Licensed professional (such as psychologist, nurse, physician, social worker, special education teacher, speech or occupational therapist) with professional experience serving people under age 21 with a diagnosis of ASD and related conditions. (Multiple positions)

•Provider of developmental or behavioral interventions with professional experience serving people under age 21 with a diagnosis of ASD and related conditions. (Multiple positions)

•Academic whose field of teaching or research (such as medicine, psychology, social work, nursing, etc.) directly relates to ASD and related conditions.

•Representative of a Minnesota Indian tribe or a Native American Minnesota resident

•Managed care organization representative

Please note that current members whose term is ending must re-apply for their position to continue serving on the EIDBI Advisory Group.
