Level 3 Offender Sought by Minnesota Department of Corrections

St. Paul, MN: The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking the public's assistance to help locate a Level 3 predatory offender who is wanted for violations of the conditions of his supervised release.

Royce Anthony Drift was released from the St. Louis County jail on September 10, 2020 to Intensive Supervised Release. He has been on fugitive status since October 2, 2020 when he cut off his GPS monitoring bracelet and absconded from a halfway house in Duluth, MN.

Drift has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for sexual assault, assault, using weapons, and false imprisonment.

Drift has ties in Eveleth, Nett Lake, and Virginia, MN.

He is 33-year-old. He has black hair and brown eyes, and is 6 feet tall and weighs 156 pounds, and often has a goatee for facial hair.

If seen, do not attempt to confront Drift, and call 911 immediately. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts or activities of Royce Anthony Drift is asked to call 911 or the DOC Fugitive Hotline at 651-603-0026.
