Lucinda Renee Cook-Auginash, age 22, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at her residence in Duluth, Minnesota.

Lucinda was born April 16, 1998, to Jana Auginash and Donald Roman Cook, Jr. Lucinda was proud to be Ojibwe and loved the Red Lake Nation, the Mother Land. She had a beautiful soul. She loved and was loved by so many. Lucinda had a genuine personality. She was warm and welcoming to all who crossed her path. She was an amazing mother to her baby girl, Weseya. She loved to travel and was never in one place for too long. Lucinda will always be remembered for having such a big heart.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Weseya Ardelle Auginash; mother Jana Auginash, sisters Darricka Auginash, Katie Auginash, Kayla Auginash, Tierra Cook and Ellissa Dewitt; brothers Darian Auginash, Cody Cook, Dylan Cook, and Lydell Cook; nieces Tyniah Cook, Leila Cook, and Londyn Reign Auginash. She was preceded in death by her father; brother Donnavin Dewitt; grandparents Geraldine Neadeau and Donald Cook Sr., Ardell Tikayne and Fred Olson, and Marcella and McKinley Auginash; and special aunts Lisa Ham and Vicky Neadeau.

A traditional wake will begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the Redby Center in Redby, Minnesota, and will continue until the service on Thursday, October 15, at 11:00am. Zack Earley will serve as spiritual leader. Casketbearers will be Darian Auginash, Cody Cook, Lydell Cook, Ryan Auginash, Ian Auginash, Chad Auginash, Breezy Harkins, and SJ Hall. Honorary casketbearers will be Dylan, Darricka, Brooke, Katie, Kayla, Tierra, Seneca, Tanya, Ellissa, Keely, Keara, Khi, Jocelyn, Jodelle, Taylor, Marla, Tausha, Kimberly, Rose, Shalena, and many, many more. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Red Lake, Minnesota.
