The Red Lake Tribal Council by Resolution determined that the Border Security will cease operations on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Border Security guarded each roadway entrance to the Reservation and provided protection to the residents at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is evidenced by the minimal numbers of Reservation residents who have been infected with the COVID-19 virus that Border Security helped control the spread and their presence helped instill safety practices in tribal members as they came in/out of the borders.

Thank you Border Security staff, your work is very much appreciated.

It is up to each of us to keep practicing strict safety measures. Always wear your masks in public places and social distance, wash your hands often and/or use hand sanitizer.
