Biden for President Minnesota Statement on Minnesota Reaching 2,000 COVID-19 Deaths

Today, as Minnesota reported more than 2,000 COVID-19 deaths and after the U.S. surpassed 200,000 COVID-19 deaths, Biden for President Minnesota State Director Ryan Doyle issued the following statement:

“Today’s news is a grim reminder of how devastating COVID-19 has been for Minnesota families, thousands of whom are suffering the loss of a loved one. It didn’t have to be this bad. President Trump downplayed the severity of the virus, he still has no plan to control it, and he continues to prove that he isn’t up to the job of managing this crisis.

“As President, Joe Biden will lead with honesty, integrity, and empathy, and his decisions will be guided by science and experts -- not politics. A Biden-Harris Administration won’t just defeat COVID-19; it will help Minnesota build back better and unite our country.”
