Impeachment hearing set for Oglala Sioux Tribal President

An impeachment hearing for Oglala Sioux Tribal President Julian Bear Runner by the tribal council has been scheduled in two weeks on Sept 14.

The council suspended Bear Runner with pay last Monday after he was accused of inappropriate contact this summer with a 17-year-old boy.

The Rapid City Journal reports the accusation came from the boy's father, who accused the president of grooming his son for inappropriate sexual touching in a motel room once he turned 18.
