Red Lake Economic Development & Planning SEEKING CONTRACTORS

We are in need of 4-6 contractors who will assist with Census Outreach, starting immediately.

What does "Census Outreach" mean?

You will be responsible for:

-tabling at local businesses to discuss the importance of the census and who should be counted in the census with fellow community members

-assist community members find their physical addresses (if currently unknown)

-direct individuals to census self response tools or if necessary read census questions or assist by entering questionnaire responses directly into the 2020census.gov website (any responses must be entered exactly as stated)

-provide space to help others get their census done (you are not a US CENSUS BUREAU STAFF - so you are not to make people do their census rather encourage and support them to do it)

-work 5-8 hours/day (depending on event duration and location)

-work well with others and treat all with respect

- help with drawings and prize coordination as needed

-must have knowledge on how to operate a cell phone/tablet

-18+ (will consider 16 and older with parent/guardian permission)

-must have reliable transportation

Each contractor will be eligible for a $100/event stipend, contractors will be expected to work with a high level of respect and confidentiality, and contractors will be responsible for equipment issued during their event.
