Brandon Frank Johnson, age 30, formerly of Red Lake, Minnesota, passed away at his residence in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Brandon was born April 16, 1990, in Bemidji, Minnesota, to Gary Lussier and Delphine (Green) Gibbs. He grew up and attended school in Red Lake, MN, and was raised by his Aunt Mary and Uncle Clarence. He later worked for the Red Lake Casino. Brandon enjoyed playing softball and playing his guitar, making up songs as he went along. He was active in his church and enjoyed traveling to church activities. Brandon was a happy person who his friends and family enjoyed being around.
Brandon leaves behind to cherish his memory his special aunt Mary Brown; his father Gary Lussier; stepdad Richard Gibbs; his children; grandmother Rhonda Morrison; brothers Oliver Johnson Jr., Owen Johnson, Tim Stately, Robin May, Jonathan Parkhurst, James Johnson, and Edward Fairbanks, Sr.; sisters Marlena Gonzalez-Rivera and Fawnda Parkhurst; aunts Irene Green, Misty Smith, and Ivy May; uncles Rowdy May and John Lussier; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Delphine Gibbs, and uncles Clarence Brown and Wallace Green.
A wake will begin Monday, August 24, 2020, at 3:00pm at the Redby Community Center, and will continue until the service on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 11:00am. Pallbearers caring for Brandon will be Virgil Brown, Shane May, Oliver Johnson Jr., Owen Johnson, Tony Green, Jeffrey May, and Ryan Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Stately, John Lussier, Rowdy May, Jonathan Auginash, Trisha May, Ashley May, Willa Johnson, Kristen Clark, Sharena Morrison, Vanessa Brown, Miranda Morrison, Ayden May, Cameron May, Jeanette Bowstring, and Jessica Auginash. Burial will follow the service.
Arrangements are being provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker MN.
