This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.
DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Multiple rounds of severe weather anticipated. Early morning storms will continue across west central Minnesota bringing
mainly an excessive rainfall threat. The next round of storms will move through southeast North Dakota after 7am, and then into northwest Minnesota through the morning hours. This complex will bring the threat for hail over an inch and very dangerous wind gusts, possibly greater than 75 mph. Intense rainfall rates will also lead to excessive rainfall, especially across those locations that have already received heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. Additional storms will develop along and east of the Red River Valley this afternoon, with hail up to 2 inches, wind gusts up to 75 mph, a tornado or two, and excessive rainfall.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
Isolated severe storms are possible across northwest Minnesota on Saturday.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Minnesota, north central Minnesota, northwest Minnesota, and west central Minnesota, including the following areas, in central Minnesota, Wadena. In north central Minnesota, Hubbard, North Beltrami, and South Beltrami. In northwest Minnesota, East Becker, East Marshall, East Polk, Mahnomen, Norman, North Clearwater, Pennington, Red Lake, South Clearwater, West Becker, and West Polk. In west central Minnesota, Clay, East Otter Tail, West Otter Tail, and Wilkin.
Through this evening
Several areas have already received very heavy rainfall. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall from thunderstorms will occur
through the afternoon.
Slow moving thunderstorms will continue through the early morning hours across Wilkin and Ottertail counties.
The next round of heavy rain will move into the region during the morning hours with rainfall rates expected to exceed 2
inches per hour. This area of heavy rain is expected to impact areas near highway 2 within Minnesota.
Additional storms and heavy rainfall are expected during the afternoon hours.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL BELTRAMI AND SOUTHERN CLEARWATER COUNTIES...
At 154 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Bagley, Shevlin, Rice Lake, Solway, northern Long Lost Lake, Leonard, Pinewood, Nebish, Puposky, Alida, Zerkel, Upper Rice Lake, Ebro, Debs and Lower Rice Lake.
