Fond du Lac Band reports first COVID-19 cases; 21 new cases in St. Louis County

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is reporting its first lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

The Fond du Lac Human Services Division was notified Tuesday, Aug. 4 of three cases. Two of the people live within the reservation and the third person was tested at the Center for American Indian Resources clinic in Duluth, according to a news release from the band.

The Minnesota Department of Health is working with the band's human services division to help prevent further spread of the virus.
