Red Lake Nation COVID-19 Emergency Response Team offers free testing for anyone 18 years and older - P4

Outdoor drive through testing events in all Districts

LITTLE ROCK DISTRICT - On Thursday, July 16, 2020, the Red Lake Nation COVID-19 Emergency Response Team offered free testing for anyone 18 years and older at the Little Rock District Round House from 10 AM -3 PM. It was the first in a series of four testing days that would include all Red Lake Reservation Districts.

They ended up testing over 200 participants during the period--although a storm moved in and delayed their activities for two hours, of which they tested until about 4 PM.

A person had the choice of either a throat swab or nasal swab test, and both tests were minimally invasive.

Registration was provided on site, but if persons pre-registered they would receive a $15.00 voucher for the Red Lake Trading Post or the Ponemah Market upon completion of the test.

Further tests are scheduled for July 21, 2020 at Redby Oshkiimaajitahdah, July 23, 2020 in Ponemah at the Boys and Girls Club and July 29, 2020 at the Red Lake Pow Wow Grounds.

The tests are voluntary and there will be future testing events.
