Wakinyan "Rocky" Zuniga

August 4, 1984 - July 15, 2020

Wakinyan "Rocky" Zuniga, age 35, of Minneapolis journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on August 4, 1984 in Gordon, Nebraska the son of George Zuniga Jr. and Claudia LaPointe-Zuniga.

He graduated High School at the age of 16 and went on to College. Rocky received his Early Childhood Developmental Degree.

While in High School, he played basketball. Rocky enjoyed basketball video games too.

He loved following The Boston Celtics and The Boston Red Sox. Rocky was also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

He loved his daughters! Rocky always had special "Date Nights" for them (Daddy/Daughter Days).

He had a great sense of humor.

Survived by his four daughters: Analicia Zuniga, Maria Zuniga, Milla Zuniga and Lilah Zuniga; mother of his children fiancé Amanda Toulou and mother of his other children: Leacha Holmes; step children: Veronica Sanchez, Jose, Victor, and Ernesto Rodriquez; his mother: Claudia Zuniga of Eagle Butte, South Dakota; step grandsons: Xavier Aly-Sanchez and Amirra Rodriguez; siblings: George Zuniga III of California, Zerelda Walks Out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Frank Zuniga of Duluth, Minnesota, James LaPointe of WolfCreek, South Dakota, Sheldon LaPointe of Rapid City, South Dakota, Lita Zuniga of Rio Rancho, New Mexico,Tami LaPointe of WolfCreek, South Dakota, Hunka Sister (adopted) RoseMarie Roberts of Minneapolis, Minnesota; many other relatives and friends.

Also survived by Nieces: Danica, Angelina, LaRaya, Shirley, Erica and Priscilla, Nephews: Nathan, Darius, Myron, Lorenzo, Xavier, Logan and Tyler and Great Nephew Taylor.

Preceded in death by his father George Zuniga Jr., sisters Sheree Zuniga Linda Zuniga and Avis LoPointe, paternal grandparents George and Annabelle Osuna Zuniga Sr., maternal grandparents Claude and Effie LaPointe, adopted brothers "Mikey Boy" Demo Sr. and Baby Dale English and by a nephew Trinidad Flores, uncles Weldon and Frank LaPointe and Ken Standing Soldier and by an aunt Henrietta Two Bulls.

Services Monday, July 20th, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. at Rocky's residence in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
