Orvilla Laura Longfox, age 64 of Cloquet, MN died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Essentia St. Mary's in Duluth. She was born May 16, 1956 to Walter and Agnes (Givestheblanket) Longfox in Fort Belknap, Montana. Orvilla was an artist and she revitalized the ancient art of quill work that she learned from her late mother, Agnes. She was renowned worldwide for her traditional artwork with dyed quills and buckskin. Orvilla also taught many people all over Native country. Native and non-native alike, her work can be seen in numerous North American museums and businesses, as well as private collectors.

The family Orvilla joins are her parents; nine brothers and one sister. Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her significant other, William DuFault; her daughters, Petrina (Matthew Higbee) Arnold, Cassandra (Oscar Arreola) Arnold, Marcie Antell and Agnes Longfox; her sons, Robert Arnold and Stanley "Guy" Lookinghorse; brothers, Robert (Linda Stump) Longfox and Joe Gray; sister, Julia Longfox; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicolette, Natasha, Aidin, Alex, Matthew, Leiah, Tia, Elyra, Arianna, Jazmine, Jafar, Karyssa, Stacie, Lenice, Ashlee, and Dakota; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Traditional Wake Service will begin 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Fond du Lac Cultural Center, 111 Brevator Road in Cloquet and continue until the Traditional Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020. The Service will take place outdoors and masks and social distancing is required. Burial will be held in New Holy Family Cemetery.
