JOB TITLE: Mathematics Teacher – 7-12 – RLHS/ALC (anticipated)

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB PURPOSE: The Mathematics Teacher shall provide direct instruction and facilitate learning for all students.

GENERAL DUTIES: Provide classroom instruction in Mathematics; work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

REQUIREMENTS: Current Minnesota Licensure to teach Mathematics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to effectively use and implement technology in the classroom

Create an environment of respect and trust

Commitment to the high school philosophy including: working on and with a team of teachers, working with a co-curricular groups and teams, and supporting other aspects of secondary education

Ability to differentiate curriculum to a wide range of learners

Proven skill in forming, building, and maintaining positive relationships

Evidence of successful experiences with students at a secondary level

Commitment and evidence of continual improvement

Willingness to utilize mastery learning through flipped classroom pedagogy
