Eliza Murray, age 30, of Naytahwaush, MN, died on Tuesday June 23, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Eliza Marie Murray was born December 6, 1989, in Mahnomen, MN, the oldest daughter of Russell and Tracy (Porter) Murray. She grew up in the Naytahwaush area and attended school in Mahnomen. Eliza graduated from Mahnomen High School with the class of 2008. She met the love of her life, Jeremy Neeland, and they have been together for several years and were blessed with three beautiful children: Addison, Jeremy Jr. and Hilary. Eliza worked for a time as a PCA on the White Earth Reservation but her main occupation was being a loving mom and soul mate.

In her spare time, Eliza enjoyed beading, going to bar bingo, playing some slots and scratch offs. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. Her house always seemed to be the neighborhood hangout with kids coming and going. Eliza loved having family close and she lovingly helped to raise her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eliza is survived by her significant other, Jeremy; their children: Addison, Jeremy Jr. and Hilary all of Naytahwaush; her parents, Russell and Tracy Murray of Mahnomen; three brothers: Sonny Porter of White Earth, MN, Christopher (Bobbi Smith) Kier of Mahnomen, and Skip (Heather) Murray of Roy Lake, MN; two sisters, Jessica (Joe) Keezer and Zoe (Carl Wadena Sr.) Murray both of White Earth; her grandma, Myrna Smith of Waubun; mother-in-law, Lenny Neeland of Rice Lake, MN; Aunt, Patty Jo (Mike Keezer) Porter of Naytahwaush; nieces, nephews, cousins, her girlfriends, Cassie Person and Janelle Bigbear and special cousin, Becky Keezer. She was preceded in death by her grandpas, Fred "Skip" Murray and Dick Smith, and grandma and grandpa, Pat and Addy Porter; and aunt, Kelly "Dood" Murray.

A Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from noon- 5:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service being held at 4:00 p.m. all at the Becky Keezer Residence near Lynwood, rural Waubun, MN. Interment will take place at Samuel Memorial Cemetery, Naytahwaush, MN.
