Full-summer overweight permits start in the central, north-central and north frost zones

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will start issuing full-summer overweight permits in the central frost zone Monday, May 18, and in the north-central and north frost zones Thursday, May 21, 2020.

Full-summer overweight permits are already available in the metro, southeast and south frost zones.

The frost zones and restricted routes can be found on the MnDOT load limits map.

Middle-range overweight permits become available within each frost zone when spring load restrictions are lifted.
