THE CURRENT PRESENTS LOCAL MUSIC FESTIVAL: SOUNDS LIKE HOME

ST. PAUL, Minn., May 12, 2020 – The Current today announced the full lineup for this weekend's virtual music festival, Sounds Like Home. As its name hints, Sounds Like Home's three-day lineup is comprised entirely of local artists and will feature appearances by DJs from The Current.

This festival will be entirely online, and music fans can experience the performances via live streams on The Current's Facebook page.

"Our local artists are vital to the future of our music community. This is a challenging time to create space where we can celebrate music together, but we've seen the passion of music fans has not been lessened by social distancing," said David Safar, managing director of The Current. "Our listeners come to us to feel connected to the music community. Sounds Like Home is a great way to do that by giving us a shared experience that supports the local artists we love."

The Current encourages all music fans to support their local artists and the continued longevity of their craft. As part of this effort, The Current will be compensating artists for their Sounds Like Home performances through the Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Fund.
