Lyle Don Harrison, "Pezi Wacin Iyokipiya Uhan Mani Hoksina" (He Who Walks With The Happy Grass Dancer) 48 of Fargo formerly of St. Michael ND began his journey to the Spirit World on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Florine Harrison home at rural St. Michael with Funeral Services on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Florine Harrison residence with Gerard Thompson Sr. officiating. Lyle will be laid to rest in the Native American Church Cemetery, rural St. Michael.

Lyle Don was born on June 20, 1971 at Devils Lake ND the son of Florine Harrison and Ambrose Thompson Sr. He grew up in the St. Michael area and attended Four Winds School and played on the basketball team. He also attended Job Corp for a time.

Lyle worked at Sioux Manufacturing Corp and for DTI (Dakota Tribal Industries) for 4 years. For the past several years, Lyle has called Fargo home where he lived and worked.

Lyle loved the game of basketball as a player and also watching the sport whenever he could. He was very particular about yard work. And if you spent any time with Lyle you always heard Hard Rock music in the background.

Lyle faced many difficulties in his life, but always could count on the love, support and prayers of his family.

Dear Brother, I love you and you are missed and you'll always be in our hearts. His loving family include his mother Florine Harrison; children Sky Isaac, Kari Blackbird, Clayton Blackbird, Monique LaCroix, Monét LaCroix, Pharell LaCroix and Jaruf Anderson; brothers Myron Harrison Sr. (Beth), Delbert Harrison Sr., Gerald Thompson Sr. (Nola) and Ambrose Thompson Jr.; sisters Athelia Harrison (Randy), Robin Harrison, Blossom Harrison, Madeline Harrison, Magdeline Harrison, Germaine Thompson (Arnie), Anna Thompson, Selena Thompson (Jacob), Marcella Thompson, Delphine Thompson and Arlene Belgarde; grandmothers Catherine Howard and Rose Walker; many nieces and nephews including special nephew Gabriel Longtail.

He was preceded in death by his father Ambrose Thompson Sr., brother Bradley Thompson, sisters Roxanne Harrison and Candice Harrison, nephews Sidney Thompson, Jonathan Ambrose Thompson and Sampson Thompson, nieces Tracy Makes Good, Luanna Chaske, Blisse Thompson and Janay Anna Bellanger and many beloved grandmas and grandpas.

Casket Bearers for Lyle will be Myron Harrison Sr., Ambrose Thompson Jr., Demetre Harrison, Branden Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Gilbert Longtail, Ambrose Thompson Ill and Marquis Miller.
