COVID-19 forces 2020 candidates to retool their campaigns

Lindsey Port, shown in 2017 during a run for the Minnesota House. Port is now running for a targeted seat in the Republican-controlled Senate, and the campaign will be much different.

Two months ago, hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans ventured out to cast early presidential nominating ballots in a state with an overflowing treasury and one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation.

But a lot can happen in two months.
