Fishing Season Opens on Red Lake Reservation

Red Lake Conservation Law Enforcement - April 30, 2020:

2020 Fishing Opener will start Saturday May 2nd at 12:00am ONLY on the Upper Lake, Rivers, and the Small Lakes. There will NOT be any Fishing on Lower Red Lake until further Notice due to the Public Hazard. Any that Violate this order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

Red Lake Conservation Law Enforcement - May 2, 2020:

With today being the opening day for Red Lake Nation Tribal 2020 Fishing Opener we would like to remind people of a few things:

1) To have Life Jackets or floatation devices for everyone in the boat (as it is Tribal Law), and anyone 12 years and younger should wear one at all times.

2) Make sure your motor, trailer and other boating equipment is in good working order, I.E. batteries charged, gas tank filled up. Also maybe bring extra rope just in case you need to be towed in.

3) Take the kids fishing, have fun and be safe.
