On Missing and Murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives Awareness Day, Administration for Native Americans Commissioner Jeannie Hovland and Indian Health Service Director Rear Adm. Michael D. Weahkee are bringing attention to this issue that has deeply affected Native communities. It is important to highlight some of the prevention tools and resources available for those in crisis or in need of healing, such as the StrongHearts Native Helpline (1-844-7NATIVE) and the Runaway Youth Safeline (1-800-RUNAWAY).
