Linda Ann Staples, age 59, of Cass Lake, Minnesota began her journey to the spirit world on Monday, April 27th, 2020 from the Cass Lake IHS Hospital in Cass Lake, MN. She was born on March 7, 1961 to Cecelia (Staples) Drouillard.

Linda was an outgoing person always laughing and cracking jokes with everyone. She was a very sociable person. Linda loved spending time with her family and she especially adored her grandkids. She was very thoughtful and was always looking out for her family while out thrift shopping and garage sailing, which was her favorite past time other than keno and slots. Her favorite person to go to the casino with was Patsy. Linda also enjoyed making dream catchers which she was great at and was always trying to cut up someone’s leather jacket, lol. She loved making Fry beard for the whole family, and we will be missed dearly.

Linda is survived by her son, Adrian Staples and daughter, Ashley (Jim) Brown, her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Cecelia “Bone” Drouillard, daughter, Jessica “Jess” Staples, sisters, Louella “Anna” Drouillard and Barbara “Punkin” Drouillard.

An overnight wake for Linda will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 1st and continue until her 12:00 p.m. traditional service on Saturday, May 2nd all being held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Dave Hare will be her Spiritual Advisor. Pallbearers for Linda will be her grandsons Adrick Hare, Caelob Staples, Adrian Staples, Jakobe Brown, Jaysiah Brown, Aaron Hare, Jr. and James Brown, Jr. Her honorary pallbearers are Patsy Gordon, Brenda Morrow, Yvonne Hardy, Hato Fairbanks, Marian Wind, Debbie Adams, Roberta Jackson and Vanessa Budreau. Inurnment will be in the Fairbanks-Staples Cemetery at Mission/Cass Lake, MN at a later date.
