Chris Hanmer owner of Ch Patisserie packed the flag in front of his shop Tuesday morning . Chis has owned the shop for 7year located on Phillips Street. Chef Hanmer started out peeling potatoes at a country club at the age of 15. Through years of training and perseverance, he claimed the gold medal as the youngest-ever American chef for a World Pastry Team Championship. His accolades also include Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America and Top Chef of Bravo's Top Chef: Just Desserts (Season 2).

SIOUX FALLS – Inside Jokerz Casino, one of many small gambling storefronts dotting this South Dakota city, Yvonne Jones sat before an electronic machine betting a dollar at a time.

It was a rare respite from thoughts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Jones, who lives alone, was grateful. "This is more or less my outing," she said, noting that she kept hand sanitizer nearby. "If I didn't feel safe, I wouldn't be here."
