Girl traveling to meet Snapchat friend on Pala Reservation is shot

A girl, her adult boyfriend and another man arriving by car at a residence just south of Riverside County to meet a “Snapchat friend” were greeted by gunfire Thursday, April 16, with the girl suffering a bullet wound, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.

The girl was expected to survive, a release said. Her boyfriend and his brother were not injured. The boyfriend was able to drive the three of them away as the shooters continued to fire.
