Outdoor Warning Siren Testing 4/1/2020 City of Bemidji

Routine outdoor warning siren testing is scheduled for 1 PM on April 1st, 2020. Ironically April Fool's Day.

We have made some equipment changes in our Emergency Communications Center that we need to test and may require multiple activations in the 1 PM hour tomorrow. Hopefully sirens only need to be activated twice, but it may be required to sound more than that.

As we make our way through the Pandemic Crisis, we need to continue preparing for our other hazards as we head towards severe weather season.

Outdoor warning sirens are tested the first Wednesday of the month at 1PM, cancelled if severe weather is possible during the tests.
